High Point comes back to beat Liberty 67-60

HIGH POINT, N.C. (AP) John Brown scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds in High Point's 67-60 win over Liberty on Wednesday.

It was High Point's third win in a row - played in five days - and Liberty's seventh consecutive loss.

Devante Wallace had 12 points for High Point (13-13, 9-4 Big South) and Anthony Lindauer 11.

Liberty (9-19, 3-10) was led by Antwan Burrus with 15.

High Point trailed 30-26 at halftime after Liberty's Tomasz Gielo capped the first-half scoring with a 3-pointer.

At the 8-minute mark of the second half, High Point was behind 49-44 before going on a 15-0 run - highlighted by six Brown points - for a 10-point lead with 2:57 left.

Davon Marshall scored the next six Liberty points to get within 61-55, but High Point made 6 of 8 free throws in the final 2 minutes.
