Georgia State tops Louisiana-Monroe 75-60

ATLANTA (AP) Manny Atkins scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Georgia State continued to roll in conference action with a 75-60 victory over Louisiana-Monroe Thursday.

Devonta White added 20 points and five assists for Georgia State (19-7, 12-1 Sun Belt Conference), which has won 16 of its last 17 contests.

The Panthers scored the first five points of the game and opened on a 15-4 spurt. Louisiana-Monroe (8-13, 5-8) cut the lead to 31-28 late in the first half, before Georgia State closed the half on a 6-0 run for a 37-28 advantage.

Atkins opened the second half with a basket and Georgia State never let the lead slip into single digits again, leading by as many as 21.

R.J. Hunter scored 12 points for the Panthers and Markus Crider added 10.

Nick Coppola led Louisiana-Monroe with 16 points. Tylor Ongwae added 14 points and Chinedu Amajoyi 11.
