Frazier leads Fordham past George Mason 76-70

NEW YORK (AP) Branden Frazier scored all 22 of his points in the second half as Fordham got its first conference win of the season Wednesday night against George Mason 76-70.

Jon Severe added 21 points for Fordham (8-10, 1-4 Atlantic 10) which used an 8-2 run to go ahead 68-62 with 2:31 left to play. The Rams made 6 of 8 free throws to hold off George Mason from there.

Fordham had trailed by 11 in the first half and pulled to within 31-30 at the break, but fell behind again 46-36 in the second. Bryan Smith's 3-pointer with 8:32 left gave Fordham a 51-50 lead and the Rams never trailed again, though George Mason tied the game at 58 and 60.

Sherrod Wright had 21 points and eight rebounds for Mason (7-12, 0-5). Bryon Allen had 13 points, Erik Copes had 10, and Jalen Jenkins added nine points and 11 rebounds.
