Noruwa Agho scored 25 points and Asenso Ampim scored 11 of his 16 points in the second half, helping Columbia to a 76-63 victory over Colgate on Tuesday night.
The Lions (2-3) held a one-point lead at halftime and held Colgate to 35.7 percent shooting (10 of 28) in the second half to pull away from the Raiders (0-4). The teams had not met in 12 years, and Columbia earned its first home victory against Colgate since 1968.
Yaw Gyawu led Colgate with 17 points and 8 rebounds, making all 5 of his field goals in the first half but just 1 of 6 after halftime.
Columbia shot 21 of 27 from the free-throw line the second half and outrebounded Colgate 39-24.
