Darryl Partin scored 25 points, John Holland added 18 and Boston University used a strong second-half surge to beat Hartford 61-50 on Saturday night.

The Terriers (14-13, 9-4 America East Conference) trailed 47-43 with 8:10 left in the second half when Hartford's Anthony Minor made a jumper. But Boston University held the Hawks (8-17, 5-7) scoreless for nearly eight minutes while scoring 18 straight points to claim a 14-point lead.

Holland scored seven points and Partin added five during the run for the Terriers, who shot 54.2 percent (13 of 24) from the floor and knocked down six 3-pointers after going 1-for-10 from beyond the arc in the first half.

Boston University also had a rebounding edge - 40-19.

Hartford struggled from the field, shooting 35.4 percent (17 of 48) for the game.

Morgan Sabia led Hartford with 14 points and Minor added 11.
