Darryl Partin scored 20 points and made a clutch free throw with 10 seconds remaining to give Boston University a 52-50 win over New Hampshire on Thursday night.

New Hampshire tied the game 32-all with 15:30 left in the second half before Boston University used a 19-10 run to take a 51-42 lead with 5:19 remaining.

The Wildcats (6-11, 1-5 American East Conference) fought back over the final five minutes, closing the gap to 51-50, but went scoreless over the final 1:32.

D.J. Irving scored 13 points on 6 of 10 shooting for the Terriers, who shot 41.5 percent (22 of 53) from the field.

Boston University (9-11, 5-1) forced 23 New Hampshire turnovers and scored 28 points off those errors.

The Terriers held a slim 30-29 rebounding margin but outscored the Wildcats 36-12 in the paint.

Alvin Abreu led New Hampshire with 16 points and Patrick Konan added 15.
