Anderson's 3-pointer with 1:08 left in the first half gave the 49ers (2-2) a 32-27 halftime lead.

The Peacocks (0-3) closed to within 53-51 with 3:38 remaining in the game on a 3-pointer by Nick Leon. Casper Ware answered with a layup for Long Beach State, sparking a 9-2 run that made it 62-53 with 1:00 left.
