Jerrian Parker Jr. - Sits out Week 6 Parker didn't play in Sam Houston's 37-10 loss to New Mexico State on Friday night.
Impact Parker was questionable heading into the game and wound up sitting out as the Bearkats dropped yet another game and fell to 0-5. The sophomore tailback, who has just three carries for -2 yards and one catch for five yards this season, will get his next chance to play on Oct. 9 against Jacksonville State.

Donovan Faupel - Nets 38 yards Faupel caught four passes for 38 yards Thursday against Sam Houston.
Impact This isn't a bad game, but Faupel has been the top receiver for the Aggies this season. In three out of four games prior to this he had at least five catches and at least 78 yards. The reason for pause here is that TK King got healthy enough to play his first game this year, and he had six catches for 132 yards.

TK King - Big game in NMSU debut King caught six passes for 132 yards versus Sam Houston on Thursday.
Impact This is certainly interesting. King, a Wyoming transfer who was previously at Texas Tech, hadn't played for NMSU until this game due to a hamstring injury. He immediately led the team in receptions and yards, which definitely chances the picture on the NMSU depth chart.
