Impact After scoring his first collegiate touchdown last week against Washington State, Hawkins broke out for four touchdowns and over 100 all-purpose yards this week. North Texas has a strong number one running back in Makenzie McGill, but it will be interesting to see if Hawkins continues to get more opportunities with his impressive play.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2025 ROTOWIRE
Makenzie McGill II - Finds the end zone once again McGill posted 19 rushes for 101 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 45-38 overtime victory against Army.
Impact McGill tallied over 100 yards on the ground for the second time this season Saturday, and has now scored a touchdown in seven straight games dating back to last season. His 19 carries this week are also his highest mark on the young season.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2025 ROTOWIRE
Drew Mestemaker - Solid start in overtime win Mestemaker was 26 of 36 passing for 249 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 45-38 overtime victory against Army. He also had four rushes for 20 yards.
Impact Mestemaker was once again impressive this week, throwing a touchdown pass in the Mean Green's overtime win to keep their undefeated season alive. The redshirt freshman is everything that North Texas could've asked for this year at quarterback early on and has still yet to throw an interception.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2025 ROTOWIRE
Kiefer Sibley - Sits out again Sibley (undisclosed) didn't play in North Texas' overtime win over Army.
Impact Sibley hasn't played since Week 2. He's been involved in the Mean Green backfield this season to the tune of 13 catches for 76 yards and two touchdowns, but there's no telling when he might return at this point. Mackenzie Gill and Jayden Becks should continue to get most of the touches for North Texas tailbacks.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2025 ROTOWIRE
Brady Anderson - Finds end zone in loss Anderson had one reception (on two targets) for 68 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 45-38 overtime loss against North Texas.
Impact Anderson only had one catch this week, but made the most of it, scoring for the second week in a row. The sophomore doesn't get many touches in what is a run-heavy offense, but does lead the Black Knights in receiving yards and touchdowns.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2025 ROTOWIRE
Briggs Bartosh - Records first touchdown of career Bartosh had eight rushes for 99 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 45-38 overtime loss against North Texas.
Impact Bartosh only had three carries on the season coming into this week, but broke out for the best performance of his young career, highlighted by a 75-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. He is still the backup running back, and it is unknown if he will be able to maintain this production.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2025 ROTOWIRE
Hayden Reed - Rushing touchdown in loss Reed logged 19 carries for 113 yards and one touchdown and gathered in all two targets for two yards during Saturday's 45-38 overtime loss against North Texas.
Impact Reed found the end zone for the second time this season, while matching a season-high in carries. The senior also caught his first reception of the season Saturday, but it probably won't continue in what is always a very run-heavy offense.
