Impact In the end, somewhat surprisingly, the Western Illinois transfer became the number-one receiver for the Hilltoppers. He has 42 catches for 706 yards and six touchdowns through 10 games. That being said, it may be hard to add much to that total next week, as WKU is going down to Baton Rouge to face the Tigers.

Impact Wright is never going to get a ton of touches, in part because Marvis Parrish is an explosive back and in part because WKU doesn't rely on the run a ton. However, Wright has gotten bang for his buck, as he's totaled nine touchdowns in 10 games.

Marvis Parrish - First 100-yard game on the ground Parrish ran 12 times for 102 yards and caught two passes for 11 yards versus MTSU on Saturday.
Impact Parrish and La'Vell Wright split the carries evenly, but Parrish showed what he can do on the ground. The true freshman is also already clearly part of the passing game, as he has 32 catches on the season.

Rodney Tisdale Jr. - Statement game in QB battle Tisdale went 29-for-41 for 371 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception against MTSU on Saturday. He also ran for 10 yards and a score.
Impact This is Tisdale's third start in a row, but it is notable because for the first time former starter Maverick McIvor was available after suffering his shoulder injury. As such, this felt like an audition for Tisdale, and he nailed it. However, don't get too excited, because WKU's next game is at LSU.
