Wondame Davis Jr. - Stays in the game plan Davis caught two passes for 58 yards and a touchdown against La Tech on Saturday.
Impact Last week, Davis came out of nowhere, catching six passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns after previously having one target all season. Clearly, he earned some trust, and he also managed to score another touchdown.

Kenny Odom - Struggles continue Odom caught four passes for 11 yards against La Tech on Saturday.
Impact Odom was targeted nine times, which makes this even bleaker. he started the season hot, and last season he had 741 yards and eight touchdowns. The fact Malachi Nelson is likely done at quarterback should benefit Odom, though.

Ashten Emory - Rushes for 50 yards Emory ran 11 times for 50 yards and had one catch for 10 yards against La Tech on Saturday.
Impact The Miners' coaching staff must have seen the writing on the wall, as they moved Kam Thomas from receiver to running back to start the season. Thomas ran well in the opener, and then immediately suffered a serious knee injury. UTEP has been spinning its wheels since, with Emory being one of a few guys getting carries.

Skyler Locklear - Throws TD, INT in relief Locklear went 4-for-6 for 74 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against La Tech on Saturday.
Impact UTEP's staff finally had enough for Malachi Nelson, who threw four picks in this game. The Miners have a bye coming up, but unless people are trying to get themselves fired Locklear will be the starter in Week 7.

Malachi Nelson - Finally blows it for good Nelson went 18-for-38 for 73 yards and four interceptions against La Tech on Saturday.
Impact Nelson is going to go down as one of the all-time failed recruiting prospects. Were he not once a five-star recruit, the Miners likely wouldn't have let him be the starter for five games. Surely, that is over now, and indeed Skyler Locklear did step in during this one.
