Cade Wolford - Snags touchdown in blowout Wolford logged one carry for zero yards and hauled in 2 of 4 targets for 19 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 62-14 defeat against Texas Tech.
Impact Wolford was shut down almost completely in the blowout loss to the Red Raiders, but he was able to snag a 16-yard touchdown in garbage time. The 5-foot-10 playmaker should have some more luck next week as the Golden Flashes take on Buffalo at home.

CJ Montes - Struggles in blowout Montes was 4-for-10 passing for 49 yards and one interception during Saturday's 62-14 loss against Texas Tech.
Impact Montes struggled completely against the Red Raiders' defense, with less than 50 passing yards and an interception. The redshirt senior had to split reps with quarterback Dru DeShields once again, and DeShields definitely played better. This will make it interesting what approach the Golden Flashes use for their quarterback spot versus Buffalo next week.

Dru DeShields - Two total touchdowns in blowout DeShields was 7-for-15 passing for 116 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 62-14 loss versus Texas Tech. He also had six rushes for 22 yards with one touchdown.
Impact DeShields ended up producing solid output even in the loss to the Red Raiders, with two total touchdowns and a couple less passing yards than last week. The redshirt freshman still split snaps with quarterback CJ Montes, but DeShields was on the field more and ended up playing much better. It's unknown what approach quarterback-wise the Golden Flashes will utilize next week in the team's conference opener against Buffalo.
