Cade Wolford - Logs 96 scrimmage yards in finale Wolford totaled one reception (on three targets) for 44 yards and two rushes for 52 yards during Friday's 35-31 win versus Northern Illinois.
Impact Wolford recorded just one catch for the fourth straight game, but he saw an elevated rushing role. The redshirt freshman logged his highest rush total of the season in the finale, and he also surpassed 90 scrimmage yards for the third time. He'll now close out the campaign with 19 catches for 509 yards and seven touchdowns, along with 12 rushes for 97 yards and one score. Wolford will head into the 2026 season with three years of eligibility remaining.

Da'Shawn Martin - Reaches 91 yards in finale win Martin reeled in all three targets for 91 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 35-31 victory against Northern Illinois.
Impact Martin was a deep-threat force in the win over the Huskies, leading his team in yardage and recording a second-quarter touchdown. The 6-foot pass catcher will now close out his sophomore season as the Flashes' leading wide receiver. He logged 33 catches for 507 yards and four touchdowns across 11 games, which are all career highs. Martin will now have two years of eligibility to do with as he pleases, and he should remain Kent State's WR1 if he stays with the squad.

Gavin Garcia - Records season-high showing in win Garcia compiled 24 carries for 151 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 35-31 win over Northern Illinois.
Impact Garcia saw his highest rush total in the close win over the Huskies, and he converted it into season-high numbers. The starting running back not only surpassed 100 yards for the first time this campaign, but he also punched in his third score. The 5-foot-7 ball carrier will now close out his redshirt junior season with record numbers, rushing 146 times for 647 yards and three touchdowns. With his totals in each category increasing each season since 2022, he'll aim to do the same in the 2026 campaign, hopefully with the Flashes once again.

Dru DeShields - Tosses two touchdowns in finale win DeShields completed 11 of 22 passes for 207 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Friday's 35-31 victory over Northern Illinois.
Impact DeShields reeled it back for the Golden Flashes' season finale, tossing two touchdowns in the second quarter and sneaking out a win. The starting quarterback will now close out his first season as a starter with solid numbers, and he led Kent State to a much better 5-7 (4-4 MAC) record than last year's winless season. DeShields completed 136 of 240 passes for 2,030 yards, 18 touchdowns and three interceptions across 11 games. He'll likely return to the squad next year, where he shouldn't have much competition for the QB1 role.

Impact DeShields was heading into the home game against the Chippewas, coming off a huge performance, and he wasn't able to deliver again. The 6-foot-2 quarterback fortunately salvaged his performance with a rushing score, but he still threw for sub-200 yards for the seventh time this year. He'll aim to finish out his redshirt sophomore season with a win next Friday at NIU.
