Ryan Ward - Committed to West Virginia Ward announced his committment to paly for West Virginia for the 2025 seasons via his X account Wednesday.
Impact Ward will join the Mountaineers following a single season with North Carolina. Teh 6-foot-3 tight end appeared in 11 games foer the Tar Heels in 2024, failing to record a target in that time. He will retain three years of eligibility with WVU moving forward.

Impact The place-kicker spent the 2024 campaign with Miami (FL), hitting his lone field goal attempt and drilling all four extra point tries. He should have three seasons of eligibility remaining with the Mountaineers.

Impact Last season at Ferris State Katzer rushed for 1,128 yards and 11 touchdowns on just 128 attempts, resulting in him leading the nation (all divisions) in yards per carry. That monster season has earned him a place on the Mountaineers roster for the 2025 campaign.

Kade Hensley - Commits to West Virginia Hensley will transfer to West Virginia, per Chris Anderson of 247Sports.com.
Impact Hensley spent three years at Coastal Carolina, knocking through a career high and reliable 16-of-19 field goals for the Chanticleers in 2024. Now, the kicker will jump up a level and play for the Mountaineers, where he should immediately compete to be the team's starting placekicker.

Jordan McCants - Transfers to WVU McCants will transfer to West Virginia, per Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.com.
Impact McCants posted 15 catches for 146 yards in 2024 with Jacksonville State, and he'll now follow his head coach Rich Rodriguez to Morgantown. McCants, a 5-foot-11 slot receiver, will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Mountaineers.

Impact Knighton underwent season-ending knee surgery in September, cutting his senior season and his second campaign with SMU short. He'll now head to West Virginia for his final season, where he'll look to resume his role as a top tailback. The last time he got a full season to showcase his skills, Knighton ran for 745 yards and seven scores on 5.5 yards-per-carry with the Mustangs in 2023.

Impact Hamilton is slated to join the Mountaineers after hauling in seven passes for 159 yards and a touchdown during his freshman season at North Carolina. The 6-foot-0 receiver will have three years of eligibility remaining for West Virginia.

Impact Barnes has the pedigree that should make him West Virginia's top option at tight end. For two years in a row, the TE logged more than 300 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Even if Barnes' 2024 output took a dip, he still recorded 31 receptions for 338 yards and four TDs.
