Elijah Canion - Catches TD Canion caught two passes for 21 yards and a score versus ECU on Saturday.

Impact Canion was an Auburn recruit, and he also was on Purdue's roster. Even so, it does not appear in the end he is even really a Conference USA-caliber player. While he had 77 yards against FCS school Campbell, in his three games against FBS teams in 2024 Canion has four catches for 53 yards and one touchdown.

Treon Sibley - Surprisingly quiet Sibley had two catches for 16 yards versus ECU on Saturday.

Impact Sibley had been the only Liberty receiver to make much of a slash heading into this game, having reeled in 14 catches for 341 yards over the first three outings. As such, this is notable, and perhaps a concern. For now, though, it may just be an off night, and to be fair this game was delayed literally for hours due to weather concerns.

Reese Smith - Finally involved, but in a big way Smith caught six passes for 80 yards and three touchdowns Saturday versus ECU.

Impact Smith, a West Virginia transfer, sat out all of 2023, but Liberty head coach Jamey Caldwell was saying he was fully healthy for this season. Then, he had all of three catches for 51 yards through the first three games. So, naturally, this outing stands out. While Smith won't catch three touchdowns every week, maybe he is ready to contribute now.

Quinton Cooley - Shows no signs of leg issue Cooley ran 19 times for 105 yards and a touchdown versus ECU on Saturday.

Impact Cooley ended up limited in Liberty's last game due to a leg issue that had him considered day-to-day. Then, this game ended up pushed until 10:45 p.m. ET due to weather issues. That didn't stop him from getting in gear, though. The Wake transfer has rushed for over 100 yards in every game he was able to finish.

Kaidon Salter - Breaks through...sorta Salter went 19-for-32 for 223 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception against ECU on Saturday. He also ran for 36 yards on 12 attempts but fumbled twice, losing one.

Impact You see a quarterback throw four touchdowns and it is hard to be disappointed, but the concerns about Salter after last years remarkable campaign remain. He hasn't topped 256 passing yards in a game, and on the ground he's been a zero after rushing for 1,089 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023. Salter has not hit 50 rushing yards yet in a game, he has zero rushing scores, and he's already lost three fumbles.

Quinton Cooley - Warming up Saturday Cooley (leg) is warming up before Saturday's game against East Carolina, according to Liberty Champion Sports.

Impact Cooley was listed day-to-day earlier in the week, and the fact that he's warming up in pads before the 6 p.m. ET kick-off is certainly a good sign for his availability. Cooley has 34 carries for 266 yards and three touchdowns this season.
