Hayes had six points and an assist in the spurt, which gave them a 34-15 lead just before halftime. Already comfortably ahead, UConn turned the game into a rout by scoring 21 of the first 25 points in the second half. Maral Javadifar led the Setters with 14 points. UConn forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, one of the nations top freshmen, did not play because of a minor calf injury. After winning their two exhibitions by a combined 99 points, the Huskies begin regular season play on Sunday against Holy Cross.
