Sounds like Bosworth still hates Texas

Brian Bosworth doesn't take back anything he said about Texas.

The Texas native-turned Oklahoma Sooner was notable for a lot of things he said, including when he popped off about Texas and the fact that burnt orange makes him want to puke.

"There was nothing contrived about it," Bosworth said to The Tulsa World. "Those were my true reflections about how I felt. It wasn't just in the moment. I had always felt that way about the University of Texas. And that's because I'm an Oklahoma boy. I'm Oklahoma proud. I feel very strongly about our legacy and our tradition and the greatness of the players that played before I got here.

"There was a responsibility for me to step up and fight for that honor. I would be remiss not to take that opportunity and say, 'You know what, guys, I'm not just going to blend in.' That's not me. I don't want to blend in. I want to stand out loud and proud and say, 'Hey, if there needs to be a leader for us to move forward, then I'll certainly lead. I'll be the first one to put my head through the brick wall, to believe in what we're doing.'

"If you're on the University of Oklahoma roster and you don't have a disdain for the University of Texas, then you should transfer. Move on out. Because we need guys that love that rivalry from that game."

An All-American linebacker at Oklahoma, Bosworth went 2-0-1 against Texas. He was elected into the College Football Hall of Fame recently and was in Norman, Okla., last week and was honored along with others from Oklahoma's 1985 National Title team.
