Potential Bucks draft pick profile: Terrance Ferguson
Leading up to the NBA Draft, FOX Sports Wisconsin will take a look at some options for the Milwaukee Bucks with the No. 17 overall pick. Next up in the series is Terrance Ferguson, who played last season with the Adelaide 36ers in Australia's National Basketball League.

FRAME: 6-foot-7, 184 pounds (6-8 3/4 wingspan)
POSITION: Shooting guard
2016-17 STATISTICAL AVERAGES: 15.2 minutes, 4.6 points, 1.1 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.2 steals, 0.3 blocks, 38.1 FG%, 31.3 3PT%, 60.0 FT%.
TROPHY CASE: In 2016 was a McDonald's All-American and was on the USA Junior National Select team at the Nike Hoop Summit. He won gold medals at the FIBA World Championships in 2014 and 2015 (U17 and U19 teams) and at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in 2013.
TALE OF THE TAPE: It's hard to know too much about Ferguson's game as he decided to forgo college and play overseas after high school. By all accounts, he is an athletic player (he did win a dunk contest thanks to a windmill slam in which he took off from in front of the foul line) and has NBA shooting range.
Ferguson's stats didn't stand out in Australia, but then again he was not getting a lot of minutes and facing players who were much older than him.
GET TO KNOW HIM: Ferguson was a standout prep player in Texas and a highly sought after recruit. It appeared as though Ferguson was going to sign with Arizona, but instead he chose to sign with Adelaide of the NBL. His reasoning was that he wanted to get the better experience playing basketball and also help financially take care of his mother.
WHY IT WORKS: Young and athletic fits right into the Bucks mantra. Milwaukee could definitely use another outside shooter, especially with Tony Snell's Bucks future in the air, as Rashad Vaughn hasn't exactly set the world on fire in his two years. Ferguson quickly gained the reputation as a team player in Australia, which would only help his transition to the NBA and on a team where he wouldn't need to be relied on at the start of his career. Taking a chance on a prospect who played outside the United States is not exactly something that'd dissuaded Milwaukee in the past, either.
WHY IT DOESN’T: To say Ferguson is lithe would be an understatement. He weighed in at 184 at the NBA Combine. Only three players on the Bucks last season weighed under 200 pounds -- Matthew Dellavedova (198), Gary Payton II (190) and Jason Terry (185) -- and they all were 6-4 or under, not 6-7 like Ferguson. As a playoff contender in 2016-17, do the Bucks want to take on another project? And will he even be available? Mock drafts have him all over the first-round board.
FILM ROOM: While playing overseas, Ferguson displayed a smooth outside shot as well as a willingness to drive inside, despite his slight stature.
