Panthers unveil new initiatives for 2015-16 season

SUNRISE, Fla. -- The Florida Panthers open their 22nd season at home against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at the BB&T Center with doors opening to the public at 5:30 p.m.

All fans attending the Panthers home opener will receive a 2015-16 Panthers magnetic schedule presented by FOX Sports Florida. Additionally, the first 2,000 fans to visit the FOX Sports Florida booth on the JetBlue Tarmac will receive a rally towel.

New for this season is the Guest Chef Program, an effort to bring the flavors of the tri-county areas and their superstar chefs to games. The program was created in conjunction with Fort Lauderdale's Culinary Convenience, for area chefs to showcase their talents at selected premium locations at the BB&T Center. Chef Eric Baker of Max's Harvest & Max's Social House will be the inaugural Guest Chef on Oct. 10.

This season will also introduce the New Times Band Stand for Rock, Hockey and Hops brought to you by New Times Miami/Broward. A live music performance will start when doors open, during intermission and post-game. Fans can access the music at the Band Stand, located directly above Pantherland in the Coors Light Cold Zone at the front of the BB&T Center. Hoy Polloy will be the band performing for Opening Night.

The BB&T Center will introduce Chickie's & Pete's Famous Crabfries to the building for all home games. They will be served in Section 119.

Lexus, recently entered into a multi-year agreement, rebranding the lower premium entertainment area as Club Lexus. Lexus will also be the presenting sponsor for the arena's North and South VIP entrances.
