Minnesota Gophers forward Charles Buggs is leaving the program for his final year of eligibility, the University of Minnesota announced on Tuesday.

Buggs completed his undergraduate degree requirements at Minnesota, but will attempt to pursue a graduate degree at another school.

"Charles has always represented the University with class and I am especially proud of him graduating," coach Richard Pitino said in a statement. "He has a bright future in basketball and life ahead of him, and will no doubt find success wherever he goes."

A 6-foot-9 native of Arlington, Texas, Buggs averaged 5.9 points and 2.9 rebounds per game during his final season with the Gophers while averaging 24 minutes of playing time per game.
