Winnipeg's Byfuglien gives Marshawn Lynch-like interview

Dustin Byfuglien made Seattle Seahhawks running back Marshawn Lynch proud Tuesday.
The Winnipeg Jets were once again the victims of a fast and furious rally out of the Anaheim Ducks on Monday night, eventually falling in overtime 5-4. That win put the Ducks up 3-0 in the first-round series and pushes the Jets to the brink of elimination. Defenseman Byfuglien wasn't in the most talkative of moods the following day, but it did put him in a Lynch-esque mood.
In an interview with members of the media Tuesday morning, the Jets defenseman reportedly responded to every question Tuesday morning with, ”As long as we stick together as a team, we’ll be all right” -- or some variation of that phrase.
It’s no “I’m just here so I won’t get fined,” but we have a feeling Lynch is a fan of Byfuglien’s response. (Here's the classic Lynch appearance at Super Bowl Media Day below . . .)
The 30-year-old blueliner has had a slow start to the 2015 Stanley Cup playoffs, failing to record a point in three games. He also laid a heck of a cheap shot on Corey Perry following the Anaheim star’s goal Monday, resulting in a two-minute minor.
But, hey, as long as they stick together as a team, maybe the Jets will be just fine.
