Babcock on Cooper: 'Wherever he goes, he wins'

Mike Babcock was full of praise for his Tampa Bay counterpart. Although many in hockey consider Babcock to be one of the best coaches in the league, Babcock focused instead on Lightning coach Jon Cooper, whom Babcock called a winner no matter what the environment.
"[Cooper's] been successful," Babcock told the Tampa Bay Times. "When you look at guys that are serial winners -- wherever he goes, he wins -- Coop would be in that class. He's now at the level, the hardest level to do it each and every year over a long period of time."
Jon Cooper's resume boasts championships at every level of hockey. Tampa fans should be excited about the timing of those championships as well; each came in his second year as a head coach. This season, of course, is Cooper's second full year behind the Tampa bench.
