Steve Gleason is known as a hero in New Orleans, for quite a few reasons. In a recent ESPN SportsCenter Featured segment called "Dear New Orleans," Steve Gleason issued a letter to the city of New Orleans.

The letter? Well, it was simply incredible. Take a look for yourself, thanks to the YouTube video below from DearWorldrxfogarty.

As Brett Michael of Uproxx.com explained, the purpose of Gleason's letter is to raise money for Evacuteer. The company is a non-profit dedicated to helping people evacuate town in the event of a hurricane.

The non-profit was originally created by Robert Fogarty, who moved to the city of New Orleans as an Americorps volunteer after Hurricane Katrina. He made New Orleans his home, just as many others have, and is looking to help the city in whatever way he can.

Specifically, by creating this great group.
