Eli Manning confident that Giants will bounce back

Published Nov. 23, 2015 1:02 a.m. ET

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning remains confident in his team even after Week 10's loss to the New England Patriots dropped their record to 5-5.

"We just have to handle our business these next six games," Manning said to reporters, per Newsday. "We are in a good position. You would obviously like to have more wins, but we still have the lead in the division, and if we take care of our business and do what we have to do and win these next six games, that would guarantee us a spot in the playoffs.

"We know what we have to do. It starts with Washington, go get a win there and take it week by week and know what it is going to take to get into the playoffs."

We should expect nothing less from Manning -- he has been unflappable since joining the Giants in 2004. However, talk is cheap, and the Giants still have games upcoming against the Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings. In order to win the NFC East, the Giants will have to win the close games that have been haunting them in 2015.
