DeAndre Hopkins not overthinking playoff debut

Published Jan. 6, 2016 11:27 a.m. ET

As Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins prepares to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Saturday's playoff matchup, the three-year veteran said he's taking a measured approach to appearing in his first postseason game.

Hopkins is one of 30 members of the Texans will make their playoff debut against the Chiefs, but he doesn't sound too concerned about dealing with any extra pressure that may be involved.

“It is my job, so I am not going to sit here and say it is special because it is my job," Hopkins said. "I can’t look at it as overwhelmed or excited about something that is my job."

If Hopkins sounds unintimidated, it's with good reason. The 23-year-old caught 111 passes for 1,521 yards and a franchise-record 11 touchdowns his season and was named to his first Pro Bowl.
