Bengals DE Carlos Dunlap named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his big blocked field goal in Sunday's 24-14 in San Francisco.
Dunlap blocked a 41-yard attempt by 49ers kicker Phil Dawson midway through the fourth quarter, helping to preserve a 24-7 lead. Dunlap joined San Francisco's Quinton Dial as the only players with two field goal blocks this season.
The special teams honor was not the only recognition this week for Dunlap, who has 10 1/2 sacks this season. He was named as a first alternate to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday, and if he ends up making it, it would be his first Pro Bowl berth.
The weekly award was the fifth for the Bengals this season as Dunlap joined A.J. Green, Andy Dalton, Mike Nugent, and Leon Hall as previous honorees.
