Welcome to Views from OKC! Glad to have you hear, and I hope you’ll make this a daily destination. Well, let’s get started!
“Future Thunder” rolls into Oklahoma City
“Towns’ versatility will provide the Thunder front line of Steven Adams and Enes Kanter a much different challenge than they faced in their two previous games against Golden State and the L.A. Clippers. Conversely, the Timberwolves are going to have to face an upset and energized Westbrook. The Thunder point guard, who had been averaging a triple double, was held to 20 points, 10 assists and six rebounds in only 29 minutes of action Thursday.”
This game is going to be a joy to watch. Both teams are incredibly athletic and their are star players on both teams. It will be interesting to see how OKC comes out after that devastating loss to the Warriors. This is Russell Westbrook’s team though so I’d imagine they are going to shake the last loss off.
Paul George to the Thunder..?
“There is not a steep drop-off in scoring ability between Paul George and Kevin Durant, so if the Thunder were to acquire him from the Pacers things would be seamless. But it will not happen. George means too much to the Pacers and their potential playoff run. Do not look for anything to take place between the Thunder and Pacers despite the NBA trade rumors.”Next: Will the Real Kevin Durant Please Stand Up?The only way this trade happens this year is if the mediocre play by the Pacers. And it very well could be, the construction of that team is strange. But as the article points out, Rudy Gay is another option. He’s looked like a new man this season; he probably is trying to play his way out of Sacremento. He’s been a team-killer everywhere he’s gone, but the way he’s played defense in the early season tells me he wants to win.

Turns out playing back-to-back night isn’t that easy
“Indeed, the Warriors were playing on the road on the second of a back-to-back set after an emotional game against the Oklahoma City Thunder the night before — less-than-ideal circumstances that Golden State coach Steve Kerr mentioned before the game, almost foreshadowing that his team would come out with a lack of energy, which it very much did.”
HAHAHAHAHAHA. But also :(. What if the NBA didn’t decide to make the first version of Warriors-Thunder the day after OKC had to go into LA to face the Clippers? Yes, I’m complaining. But this also makes the loss to the Warriors hurt even less. I mean they couldn’t even come close to the Lakers. If you remember correctly, the Thunder beat them by 17…
