Craig Sager is waging an incredible battle against leukemia, and thanks to an anonymous donor, will undergo a third bone marrow transplant.

Craig Sager was not given much of a chance. Battling leukemia once is hard enough, but having to wage multiple battles is another animal altogether. Throughout his fight, Sager has proven to be a man of incredible strength, showing a never give up attitude. He has continued to work through his diagnosis, sometimes working games the same day as having chemotherapy.

In 2014, it was announced that Sager had been diagnosed with actute myeloid leukemia. He missed the entire playoffs, but was able to receive a bone marrow transplant from his son, Craig Jr. The transplant pushed the leukemia into remission, but that would not be the end of the story.

This past March, the leukemia had returned, and this time Sager was given 3-6 months to live. He decided to wage another fight, having bone marrow surgery on July 29. Earlier that month, Sager won the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at the 2016 ESPYS. He gave a riveting speech, and reiterated that he would continue to fight.

On Tuesday, another chapter was written in Sager’s fight, as an anonymous donor came forward to help. Incredibly, Sager will undergo a third bone marrow/stem cell transplant. His son, Craig Jr., took to twitter to announce the news.

Since the announcement, hundreds of people have shown Sager the love he deserves. Twitter has exploded with well-wishes for the veteran announcer, who has become a part of NBA telecasts for the past 20 years.

He continues to be an inspiration to people everywhere, and his fight has not been lost on his fans.

Craig Sager has been an inspiration throughout his whole battle.

We wish him all the luck in the world as he enters this next phase of his journey. Good luck Mr. Sager!
