Tim Duncan went skydiving indoors, because he's a living legend

No matter what Tim Duncan does from this point on—whether he retires tomorrow or sticks around, wins five more championships then calls it quits on his 61st birthday—he's a lock to go down as one of the most beloved athletes in basketball history.
Off the court, he's a bit of a mystery box. Nobody really "knows" who Duncan is. His public persona is that of a good-natured invert, which is perfectly fine, but abnormal for someone who's experienced his level of international fame and success.
He's also unpredictable, private and makes decisions that are driven by his own personal enjoyment. In short, he's rare; the type of professional athlete who won't hesitate to spend an afternoon in his offseason going indoor sky diving in Las Vegas.
Yup, this is exactly why Duncan is a living legend.
