The Washington Wizards should pursue Anthony Bennett

The Washington Wizards have no empty roster spots. There are 15 guaranteed contracts already on the books and not a sliver of space for them to add another body to the regular season squad. In order to do so, they'd need to eat some money or make a trade.
This lack of flexibility stings when a player with Anthony Bennett's low-risk, high-reward upside becomes available. Washington can't sign him to anything but a non-guaranteed deal (something Bennett has no interest in), but he's the type of player they should go after.
Here's FanSided's Wiz of Awes with more:
Bennett has been an obvious disaster, but he can (sort of?) shoot and knows how to finish in transition. He's really young and very athletic. If anything, Bennett could someday develop into a nice stretch four off the bench who can bang on the boards and play a little defense.
That's not "No. 1 overall pick" material, but it's a career. Wouldn't it be nice if he did it in a Wizards uniform?

At this point, I think we can all assume that Anthony Bennett will not be landing with the Washington Wizards. First off, the Wizards already have 15 players under guaranteed contracts. For them to sign Bennett as a free agent, they would have to waive or trade a player who’s already on the roster. But, should that stop them from pursuing a player that many believed would end up in the nation’s capital during draft night? Bennett, who’s only 22-years-old, still has all of the necessary tools to contribute in the NBA. Let’s forget about the fact that he’s been terrible so far in his career.
