The Boston Celtics are at the center of every rumor right now

Armed with too many future draft picks to keep track of, cavernous cap space, a brilliant young head coach and one of the savviest front offices in the league, the Boston Celtics have rightfully elbowed their way into just about every relevant rumor as we near the NBA draft and free agency's opening day.
They're after everyone — DeMarcus Cousins, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love — and have the assets to make legitimate offers. Here's ESPN Boston's Chris Forsberg with a closer look at what it all means for the team that still feels pretty far away from winning a title:
"Now, all options are on the table. The Celtics have positioned themselves to be front and center in every rumor and all the speculation. That should make the next couple weeks wildly entertaining for Celtics fans, who should enjoy the experience because this is the fun part. Once Boston actually beefs up its roster, expectations elevate and there's pressure to show progress from the offseason moves."
Even if they don't land a star this summer, Boston has re-established itself as a relevant player in every discussion, and that's important. If they do land a star, well, they'll be relevant in a completely different and more valid way.
