When Tony Parker drives to the basket there are moments where he looks like a legitimate superhero. No human being should be able to contort their body the way he does, at full speed, and still kiss the ball off the glass with unparalleled touch.
Maybe that's why the actor (Mehcad Brooks) who plays Jimmy Olson on CBS' new fall show "Supergirl" loves everything about Parker's game.
Here's what Brooks recently told the San Antonio News-Express about his Spurs' fandom:
"Upon learning I was from the Alamo City, Mehcad Brooks — the dashing actor who plays Jimmy Olsen in CBS’ 'Supergirl' (starting 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26) — volunteered with verve, 'I’m a huge fan of the Spurs.' His favorite player? 'Tony Parker is the man. He plays so smart.' Brooks...also said he adores San Antonio, where relatives of his still live. 'I remember having some of my best times at Fiesta Texas,' he recalled."
Parker didn't have his best year last season, but is primed to bounce back on a refurbished roster that includes LaMarcus Aldridge and David West.
The Spurs are counting on it.
