Suns sign Zabian Dodwell to 10-day contract

The Phoenix Suns signed free-agent guard Zabian Dowdell to a 10-day contract Sunday and recalled rookie free-agent center Garret Siler from the NBA Development League.

The 6-foot-4 Dowdell spent training camp with the Suns this year before being waived Oct. 19.

He then signed with Tulsa in the NBA D-League, where he averaged 14 points, four assists and two rebounds in 18 games.

The Virginia Tech product was a member of Phoenix's squads in the Las Vegas Summer League in 2009 and 2010.

Siler was sent Jan. 3 by the Suns to the D-League's Iowa Energy, where he averaged four points and five rebounds in four games. Siler, from Augusta State, was waived by the Atlanta Hawks in October.
