Strong bench play leads Pacers to 101-97 win over Pistons

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Reserve Toney Douglas scored 15 points and Glenn Robinson III had nine of his 13 in the fourth quarter to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 101-97 exhibition victory over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.

Andre Drummond had 17 points and 21 rebounds for the Pistons.

PISTONS: Reggie Jackson had 17 points and seven assists. . Ersan Ilyasova added 17 points off the bench.

PACERS: Robinson finished 5 of 6 from the floor. ... The Pacers' bench outscored the starters 62-39. . Chase Budinger made his first appearance of the preseason, scoring seven points on 3-of-7 shooting. . All 14 players that entered the game for Indiana scored.

MEANINGFUL MINUTES: Paul George, who was averaging 21 points in 24.6 minutes per game in three games entering Tuesday, scored 13 points in 12 minutes.

GOBBLING THE GLASS: Drummond, the second-best rebounder in the league last year, now has 48 rebounds through four preseason games.

UP NEXT: Indiana visits Cleveland on Thursday. Detroit is on the road Wednesday at Chicago.
