Steph and Ayesha spend day at Sonoma Raceway

Stephen and Ayesha Curry both spent the day at Sonoma Raceway for the IndyCar season finale. Ayesha was grand marshall and they both got a fast test drive.

We’ve all seen the shots of Ayesha Curry, Stephen’s wife, supporting him from the seats in whatever arena the Golden State Warriors are playing in. She prays, she jumps, she cheers, she does everything. She’s been behind Steph as he has become the league’s most popular player.

But Ayesha isn’t just his wife. She’s a budding star in her own right. She has her own show on the Food Network, a cookbook, and has become a popular social media figure. People want to see her just as much as the two-time MVP.

On Sunday, the Curry’s were at the Sonoma Raceway for the IndyCar season finale. Only this time, Stephen had to watch Ayesha perform. She was named Grand Marshal for the event.

The young couple also got a chance to get the full experience. They suited up in the racers’ jumpsuits and got a test ride with racing legend Mario Andretti. Stephen said that he didn’t eat breakfast in fear of throwing up during his 100 mph drive. The superstar point guard admitted that he didn’t have any experience with racing before despite growing up near Charlotte Motor Speedway. Luckily, he kept it together, even when the car topped out at around 130 mph.

Perhaps if this basketball thing doesn’t work out for Stephen and this cooking thing doesn’t work out for Ayesha, maybe they’ll get behind the wheel again.
