Spurs resting banged-up starters

The San Antonio Spurs are all but conceding the Western Conference's No. 1 seed to Oklahoma City and instead choosing to rest up for the playoffs.

The team said point guard Tony Parker (sore neck), power forward Tim Duncan (sore knee) and small forward Kawhi Leonard (sore knee) will sit out Monday night against the Golden State Warriors. All three had played in San Antonio's 91-86 loss at the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night.

The Spurs also will be without reserve guard Manu Ginobili, who has been out since straining his right hamstring March 29. He could return for the regular-season finale Wednesday against Minnesota.

San Antonio entered Monday a game behind the Thunder for the West's top spot. The teams split the season series but Oklahoma City holds the tiebreaker because of its better conference record.
