Spike video bombs Miller at MSG

Published May. 7, 2013 1:00 a.m. ET

It took only 18 years to the day, but it finally happened. Spike Lee got the better of Reggie Miller.

But before we go forward, here's a refresher on how this all began. With the Knicks clinging to a 105-99 lead with 18.7 seconds left in Game 1 of the 1995 Eastern Conference semifinals, Miller nailed a 3 to cut the deficit to three with 16.4 left.

Then it happened. Miller stole the ensuing inbounds, dribbled behind the arc and canned another 3 to tie the score and stun the MSG crowd. After two missed free throws by John Starks, Miller made two free throws to give the Pacers a 107-105 lead, which was the eventual result. Take a look for yourself.

Fast forward to Tuesday night. The Pacers were back in the Garden for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Knicks routed Indiana 105-79 to tie the series and give Spike some bragging rights over Miller, who was at MSG as part of the TV broadcast.

Then Spike got the last laugh (at least for this night). As Miller was doing some halftime analysis, Spike snuck in and got the drop of Miller. Check it out.

And to top off Spike's night, he even made our list of top tweeters of the week.
