Shaq says he's 'jealous' of Kobe Bryant's retirement tour

After Kobe Bryant officially announced that he would retire at the end of the season last November, he requested that NBA team refrain from showering him with parting gifts, which has become expected behavior for retiring legends in 2016 - but that hasn't kept every one of Kobe's "lasts" from being a notable event.

During an episode of Shaq's The Big Podcast that will be released next Monday, Shaq reveals that he's very disappointed there wasn't a "Shaq tour."

Had Shaq finished his career with the Lakers, or potentially even with the Heat, a grand farewell tour would have made sense - but a Shaq tour in 2011 would have been awkward. O'Neal played for three teams over his last three seasons, and retired one year into his two-year contract with the Celtics. Although he was still generally beloved by basketball fans across the league, seeing him repeatedly honored as a Celtic would have felt strange.
