Rockets GM admits 'gynecologist' joke in tweet 'was in bad taste'
Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey has admitted his lame attempt at humor during a Twitter Q-and-A on Wednesday landed with a big thud -- in addition to raising a lot of eyebrows.
In case you missed it, Morey was asked a perfectly reasonable question: Does having a job in basketball make you sick of watching it?
His response? Well, just take a look:
No, it is like being a gynecologist, you don't get sick of it RT @chriswk14 does having a job in bball make you sick of watching it?

OK, then ... While he has yet to delete the tweet, he had to have noticed some of the negative responses, which were swift:
@dmorey @chriswk14 This is one of those tweets you may want to seriously consider deleting.

@alysonfooter -- I think @dmorey is going to wish he had that one back.

@dmorey Put this in the "tweets that probably shouldn't have happened" category from the Rockets' GM.

On Thursday, Morey admitted the attempt at a joke "was in bad taste" when asked about it during an NBA Developmental League showcase in Santa Cruz, Calif., according to the Houston Chronicle.
"I had a tweet that was in bad taste," Morey said. "I'm going to leave the comedy to the professionals. I think I'm going to stick with my GM job."
Morey reportedly did not comment when asked if he had been punished in any way by league officials for his Twitter gaffe.
