Riley Curry steals show at postgame news conference
By Matt Birch
It didn’t take long for Stephen Curry’s daughter Riley to steal the show once again after the Warriors advanced to the NBA Finals by defeating the Houston Rockets in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals on Wednesday night.
Riley had previously caused an uproar of sorts after she joined her dad at the podium and urged him to “be quiet” after the Warriors defeated the Rockets in Game 1. Many sports fans fell in love with Riley right then and there, but a few sportswriters were upset about her attending the press conference.
However, Riley wasn’t done. She joined her dad on the court at Oracle Arena after Game 5 and did a great imitation of Steph’s signature chest tap and point to the sky.
Steph then, once again, allowed Riley to tag along with him at the press conference that followed the game. She pretty much picked up where she left off after Game 1 by hopping up and down and dancing like a boss. Riley even answered a question for her dad at one point.
Riley eventually tired herself out, though, and later made her way down the steps toward the exit so her dad could finish fielding questions from reporters.
Curry struggled from the field and put together a 7-of-21 shooting performance on Wednesday night. It’s safe to say Riley was the real MVP on the evening.
