Report: Iverson's Lamborghini impounded

Published Apr. 1, 2011 1:00 a.m. ET

A Lamborghini belonging to Allen Iverson was held in an Atlanta police impound yard after the former NBA star was pulled over by cops, TMZ reported.

The 76ers legend's silver 2009 vehicle was confiscated because it had expired dealer tags, the site reported Thursday.

Iverson, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was handed a ticket after his driver was requested to stop late Wednesday.

The report said that the 11-time All-Star, who last year left the NBA to join Besiktas in the Turkish League, responded by transferring his belongings to a friend's Rolls-Royce that was trailing the Lamborghini.
