Report: Bosh suffers court setback

Published Jun. 16, 2012 1:00 a.m. ET

Chris Bosh appears to have failed in his bid to perform in front of his young daughter at the London Olympics.

The Miami Heat star, who is currently engaged in the NBA Finals, requested legal authorization to take 3-year-old Trinity to England to watch Team USA's bid for gold, after the girl's mother, Allison Mathis, denied him permission.

But a judge refused his application and left it to him and Mathis to attempt to reconcile their differences outside court, TMZ reported Saturday.

Mathis, who was reported to have blocked the move because of potential terrorism at the global spectacular, was understood to be entrenched in her opposition to the trip.
