Report: Andrea Bargnani is back at practice, Jarrett Jack isn't
Andrea Bargnani hasn't played in a Nets preseason game and just returned to practice on a limited basis this week. But it appears to wait to see Bargnani in a Nets uniform is finally coming to an end.
Bargnani had been out with a hamstring injury. Apparently, that's no longer the case. The Nets' preseason slate is over, but the team opens up Oct. 28 against the Bulls. There's still no word on if Bargs will be available, but if he's practicing fully, that's certainly a sign things are going in the right direction.
As for Jack, the Nets can't really afford to lose him. Brooklyn has one of the worst point-guard rotations of any team in the league. If he goes down, all of a sudden, the team is dealing with Shane Larkin and Donald Sloan manning its first two floor general spots. That's not where you want to be, especially when much of your offense has to do with getting the ball to Brook Lopez. How are you going to do that without a true facilitator at the top of the floor?
Of course, guys miss practice all the time. This may not be a big deal. But it is certainly something to keep an eye on.
