The Denver Nuggets were graced for just a few short years with the greatness of Allen Iverson. With his enshrinement, we will look back at his great years.

With Allen Iverson being inducted into the Hall of Fame last night, Nuggets nation is ecstatic that the former Nugget has gotten the recognition he deserves. He brought many memories to the Mile High, and it would be wrong of me not to remember his great achievements. Iverson is more than just one of the greatest Nuggets ever, he’s one of the most iconic figures in NBA history.

The Denver Nuggets organization should be proud that one of the best players in NBA history dawned the powder blue at one point in his illustrious career.

Allen Iverson meant a lot to teammates, coaches, and fans all around the league (including me). I’ll never forget my first ever NBA jersey being a powder blue Denver Iverson jersey, and it carried a lot of meaning with it. Where am I exactly going with this?

Well Iverson brought a persona to the Mile High faithful that hadn’t been seen before. Suddenly fans weren’t afraid to rep the Nuggets while incorporating the urban culture that Allen Iverson was so fond of and took a beating for from the league.

    His Incredible Impact

A.I. epitomizes more than a ball player, he is the epitome of having the heart of a lion no matter how small he was compared to other players. Never before had the league seen a fearless guard at his stature go into the paint and take the beating he did, and still continue to come back and do the same thing.

Iverson was a pure example of Rocky Balboa’s famous saying “life ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” No matter how many times he went down on the metaphorical canvas in life or on the court, he always made a comeback.

Whether it’s being a free agent no one wanted, to then getting a warm welcome home from the Philadelphia faithful, or having difficulty in life, to bettering his family situation, Iverson always proves his doubters wrong at the last second.

Allen Iverson was/still is a great influence to many people across many walks of life. One of the biggest lessons one can take from him is to never forget where you came from. To go along with this, another lesson would be to be true to yourself and to not give a damn what anyone thinks of you.

So, from not just a die-hard Nuggets fan, but one of your biggest fans in general, congratulations on your hall of fame induction Allen Iverson. Never change A.I., never change.
