Pierce Tweet sparks war of words

Published Nov. 12, 2010 12:00 a.m. ET

Either Paul Pierce got "hacked" again or the Boston star really did take a shot at the new-look Miami Heat after Thursday's 112-107 win last night.

"It's been a pleasure to bring my talents to south beach now on to Memphis," the message on Pierce's Twitter feed reads.

The post figures to be a thinly veiled shot at new Heat star LeBron James, who famously joined the team this summer with his badly received "The Decision." In that, he announced he would "Take his talents to South Beach."

A teammate of LeBron's fired back later Friday.

“Paul who? Man, ain’t nobody paying them dudes no attention, man," Heat forward Udonis Haslem said of the Celtics, according to ESPN.com. "You know what studio gangster is? Look up that, look up the definition of studio gangster. I’m here to play basketball. First of all, I don’t tweet. So I wouldn’t know what he tweeted if you guys didn’t tell me."

Earlier this year, after winning Game 3 against the Orlando Magic in the playoffs, Pierce's account had a message reading "Anybody got a broom?"

He denied posting the message, saying his account had been hacked.

No word on any hacking to his account today however.
