Pelicans coach Gentry sends 'prayers out' to Timberwolves' Flip Saunders

Minnesota Timberwolves president and head coach Flip Saunders announced today that he was diagnosed with a form of cancer two months ago, and that he's been undergoing chemotherapy ever since.

Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry reached out on Twitter to express his support.

Saunders' doctors consider his situation "very treatable and curable," and he plans to remain as Minnesota's president and head coach without any restrictions. We'll join coach Gentry in passing along our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
