Parker leads Spurs past Caja Laboral
Tony Parker had 22 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 108-85 victory over Euroleague powerhouse Caja Laboral on Saturday night.
Parker was 9 of 17 from the field and made four free throws without a miss.
Parker, along with Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Richard Jefferson, were back in the starting lineup. They were not with the Spurs (3-2) on Thursday night in a loss to Cleveland in Pittsburgh.
''It was definitely good to be back on the floor after three days off,'' Parker said. ''I didn't go to Cleveland, so I just wanted to make sure to get in a rhythm. I was dying the first quarter, but the second quarter felt better.''
Duncan, who left early in the first quarter after being poked in the right eye, returned in the second half to score all 10 of his points and had 11 rebounds. Matt Bonner added 15 points and seven rebounds.
David Logan had 20 points for Caja Laboral. Mirza Teletovic had 18 points, and Stanko Barac added 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Spanish league champions.
''The Spurs were much quicker, so it's difficult to play this kind of team,'' Caja Laboral coach Dusko Ivanovic said. ''It was tough to play with their kind of rhythm.''
NOTES: San Antonio is 3-0 on its home court against international teams and 7-0 overall. ... Memphis beat Caja Laboral 110-105 on Thursday night.
