OKC fans reportedly will have to wait until 2017 to boo Kevin Durant

The NBA schedule is likely to be released later this week, but the league has been whetting fans’ appetites with a few leaks.

The two biggies involve the Golden State Warriors, who won an NBA-record 73 regular-season games before falling to the Cleveland Cavaliers in The Finals and then signing superstar Kevin Durant away from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Durant will return to Oklahoma City with the Warriors for the first time in a Feb. 11 matchup at Chesapeake Energy Arena, according to ESPN.

And the Warriors and Cavs, who have met in the past two Finals, will play during the NBA’s marquee Christmas Day package for the second straight year. Unlike last Christmas, the Cavaliers will host the game.

Changes can still take place to these two games before the NBA officially lets us know where and when the Warriors will be playing their other 80 games as they go for 74 wins – or, more important, a second title in three years – in 2016-17.
