The Eastern Conference finals are set, with the top-seeded Hawks advancing to face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Out West, Stephen Curry and the top-seeded Warriors will face the Rockets, who finished the Clippers in 7 games after once trailing the series 3-1.
Atlanta finished off Washington on Friday 94-91 despite blowing a double-digit fourth-quarter lead and allowing Paul Pierce to get off what appeared to be a game-tying 3. But officials ruled the shot came too late.
Golden State also advanced to the conference finals Friday — for the first time since 1976 — by closing out its series against Memphis 108-95.
