Meyers Leonard: 'Once the opportunity was there, I took advantage'

It took a while for Portland Trail Blazers center Meyers Leonard to earn some regular time in the rotation, but good things happened once he did.
Leonard, the 11th pick of the 2011 draft, played just 355 minutes during the 2013-14 season. This season, it took multiple injuries for him to see the floor.
Leonard stayed ready, however, and ended up finishing the year as one of the team's biggest bright spots.
Here's what Leonard told Blazers.com:
“Once the opportunity was there for me, I feel like, for the most part, I took advantage,” said Leonard. “There were times when maybe I was a little too hesitant, but as time went on and I got more minutes, felt much more comfortable, much more aggressive and kind of understanding of how I could help this team.”
